This kit is designed for rRNA depletion from total RNA isolated from plant roots, seeds, and leaves. It supports input amounts of 1–5 μg plant total RNA. The workflow includes probe hybridization to rRNA, RNase H digestion, and DNase I treatment to remove rRNA species, including 5S, 18S, and 25S rRNA, while retaining mRNA and other non-coding RNA suitable for downstream analysis such as lncRNA profiling. The kit additionally provides probes targeting mitochondrial and chloroplast rRNA, enabling efficient depletion of major rRNA species across a wide range of plant taxa and generating information-rich sequencing data. It is compatible with both intact and partially degraded RNA samples, and the resulting RNA is suitable for RNA library preparation and other downstream applications. |
