This kit is designed for the removal of globin mRNA and rRNA from total RNA isolated from blood samples of human, mouse, and rat origin. It is compatible with input amounts of 0.01–1 μg total RNA. Total RNA is processed through probe hybridization targeting globin mRNA and rRNA, followed by RNase H digestion and DNase I treatment, effectively depleting globin transcripts and rRNA (including both cytoplasmic and mitochondrial rRNA) while preserving other mRNA species and non-coding RNA. The resulting RNA is suitable for downstream analysis of non-coding RNA, such as lncRNA. This kit is compatible with partially degraded RNA samples, and the processed RNA can be used for RNA library preparation and other downstream applications. |
