Purine Nucleoside Phosphorylase (PROD) from E. coli

Cat# DIA-419
Source E. coli
Description Purine nucleoside phosphorylase is a key enzyme in the purine salvage pathway, widely found in prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms. It catalyzes the reversible cleavage of purine nucleosides into purine bases and ribose-1-phosphate. In vitro, it can also be used to synthesize new nucleosides when supplied with additional purine bases or analogs. PNP is commonly applied in assays for 5'-nucleotidase (5'-NT) and adenosine deaminase (ADA).
