| Description |
HotStart Super Specific Taq DNA Polymerase is an antibody-blocked hot-start DNA polymerase suitable for Amplification Refractory Mutation Systems (ARMS) and highly specific PCR amplification. This product uses an antibody to block the 5′→3′ polymerase activity of Taq DNA polymerase, inhibiting non-specific amplification during system preparation and temperature rise. Heating at the pre-denaturing temperature for 30 seconds completely inactivates the blocking antibody, releasing the DNA polymerase activity and ensuring high amplification efficiency, specificity, and sensitivity in the PCR system. |
| Applications |
This product is highly specific and suitable for SNP genotyping. |
| Specification |
250 U; 500 U; 1000 U; 10000 U; 25000 U; 100000 U |
| Activity Definitions |
Using activated salmon sperm DNA as a template/primer, at 74°C for 30 min, the amount of enzyme that ingests 10 nmol of complete nucleotides as acidic insoluble matter is defined as 1 activity unit (U). |
