| Features |
High specificity: A dual-blocked, hot-start enzyme that simultaneously inhibits 5′→3′ Taq DNA polymerase and 5′→3′ exonuclease activity at room temperature, enhancing reaction specificity. No nuclease residue: Free of exonuclease, endonuclease, and RNase residues. High enzyme activity with some tolerance to inhibitors such as blood. |
| Description |
HotStart Direct Taq DNA Polymerase is a hot-start DNA polymerase resistant to blood and other inhibitors. It uses antibody blocking and exhibits excellent amplification sensitivity and specificity. Heating at a pre-denaturing temperature for 30 seconds completely inactivates the blocking antibody, releasing DNA polymerase activity. Using this hot-start Taq enzyme effectively inhibits amplification caused by primer non-specific annealing. |
