| Features |
High specificity: The dual-blocked hot-start enzyme simultaneously inhibits 5′→3′ Taq DNA polymerase and 5′→3′ exonuclease activities at room temperature, improving reaction specificity. No nuclease residue: Free of exonuclease, endonuclease, and RNase residues. Suitable for high-sensitivity PCR and multiplex PCR experiments. |
| Description |
Hotstart Taq DNA polymerase is a thermostable mutant Taq DNA polymerase blocked with antibodies. The polymerase activity is inhibited at 60°C, but released upon heating to 95°C, thus preventing non-specific amplification and primer dimers during sample preparation and reaction heating. The possesses both 5′→3′ polymerase and 5′→3′ exonuclease activities, similar to wild-type Taq DNA polymerase, but lacks 3′→5′ exonuclease activity. |
| Applications |
This product is a hot-start Taq enzyme suitable for multiplex amplification. |
