Recombinant Pyranose Oxidase (PROD)

Cat# BDE-001
Description Pyranose oxidase (PROD) is a glucose 2-oxidase from Basidiomycota. 1,5-Anhydroglucitol (1,5-AG), the C-1 deoxy form of pyranose glucose, has emerged as a novel marker for glycemic control. Using PROD, glucokinase, and an ATP regeneration system, serum 1,5-AG can be selectively measured, as glucokinase converts interfering glucose to glucose-6-phosphate. The hydrogen peroxide generated from PROD-mediated 1,5-AG oxidation is detected via the Trinder reaction.
Applications Used for the detection of the oxidation of carbohydrate substrates, suitable for biosensors and biochemical analysis systems.
