Proteinase K (Liquid for mNGS)

Cat# MDE-003
Specification 1 mL, 5 mL, 100 mL, 1000 mL
Description Proteinase K is a serine protease with broad substrate specificity, preferentially cleaving near hydrophobic, sulfur-containing, and aromatic amino acids. It contains the catalytic triad Asp39-His69-Ser224 and two Ca²⁺-binding sites that enhance stability. This mNGS-grade version features reduced nucleic acid residues, ensuring higher accuracy in metagenomic sequencing applications.
Applications Specifically designed for metagenomic sequencing (mNGS) sample processing, efficiently lysing host cells and removing proteins.
